The Real Housewives of New Jersey’ kicked off in November of 2018, after a longer break in between seasons than in its past, due to Teresa Giudice’s legal situation. The reality star and her husband served prison time for tax fraud. As of March 2019, Joe was in the custody of ICE, after serving his 41-month sentence. He faces deportation back to his native, Italy. The show’s ninth season returned with its OG cast members, Teresa and her sister-in-law, Melissa Gorga, along with Dolores Catania, who joined the show in season 7, and newer cast member Margaret Josephs returned. Former housewife Danielle Staub returned in a “friend” capacity, and the newest housewives included Jennifer Aydin and Jackie Goldschneider. The RHONJ’s ninth season covered Teresa’s life as single mother while Joe served the remainder of his prison sentence. Other storylines included girls’ trips, de-bunked rumors, and a fresh, new look inside the cast’s business ventures, lives, families and the drama that surrounds them all in New Jersey.
