Kanye West: ‘Voices In My Head’ Told Me To Storm The Grammys Stage

So, what really made Kanye West want to storm the stage at the Grammys? In a new interview, he reveals it was actually the voices inside his head that told him to do it. Kanye West, 36, might have just overshadowed every bizarre thing he's ever said. While talking to Ryan Seacrest about his Grammys outburst, the rapper explained that he heard voices inside his head telling him to go on stage and interrupt Beck after the artist won Album of the Year over Beyonce. Yes, really.

Kanye West Hears Voices Inside His Head

You really have to stop and think about this one. Is it really surprising to hear Kanye say there are voices talking to him inside his head?

That’s exactly what he told Ryan during an early morning interview on Feb. 11, in which he explained the reason behind his urge to go running on stage as Beck accepted his Album of the Year award at the Grammys.

“You know, I felt like just the whole Grammys, right when that happened, everybody was looking at me and then people started screaming, ‘Kanye! Kanye! Go do it!’ Ok, that didn’t really happen, these were voices in my head,” Kanye explained.

“So the voices in my head told me go and then I just walked up like halfway up the stage.”

Um, did Kanye just reach a whole new level of weird?

Kanye Didn’t Want To Take Away From Beck’s Moment

Interestingly enough, that is not the only unbelievable thing Kanye said during his interview.

“You know, what I really wanted to do is just joke around about what had happened before,” Kanye explained about the moment he pretended to interrupt Beck, “but I just really didn’t want to take away from Beck’s moment or the time he’s having to talk because you know the Grammys, they play music really quick no matter who you are and everything.”

Kanye didn’t want to take away from Beck’s moment? Jaw, meet the floor.
